The Ministry of Interior and Police has announced that it is lifting alcohol sales restrictions as of 10 December 2015. During the long holiday season, which lasts until 8 January 2016, there will be no limit on closing times for bars, discotheques, restaurants, corner shops and other businesses selling alcoholic drinks.
The Ministry says the extra hours this will mean more work for musical groups, which will be able to perform later into the night.
The Ministry of Interior and Police said that they would be increasing surveillance at entertainment spots to prevent excesses.
