Fugitive French pilots Pascal Jean Gauret and Victor Bruno Odos had acquired cars, pick ups, cell phones, UASD and UAPA University ID cards, credit cards issued by Dominican banks, and watches, among other items confiscated after their departure.
The pilots had been sentenced to 20 years in jail after being found guilty of trafficking in 715 kilos of cocaine discovered on board a private jet in Punta Cana, which was bound for St. Tropez, France on 20 March 2015. The pilots fled the country while on house arrest awaiting appeal.
The pilots are claiming their innocence, saying they were not aware of the contents of the 26 suitcases the airplane was transporting.
