Minister of Foreign Relations Andres Navarro has confirmed that President Danilo Medina will be traveling to Paris to attend the Paris Climate Summit (COP21). The event will take place from 30 November to 11 December 2015.
Navarro also praised France and the United Nations for confirming that Paris would host the event, despite the terrorist attacks on Friday, 13 November in the French capital with 129 deaths and more than 350 injured.
Navarro made his comments yesterday, Monday 16 November 2015 while signing the book of condolences open now at the Embassy of France in Santo Domingo. He stated that terrorism should not bring humanity to its knees. “We have to continue with our development agenda,” he told journalists.
