DREAM Project announces new center in San Pedro

MLB All Star Robinson Cano and his RC22 Foundation have helped fund the new RC22 DREAM Education Center in his hometown of San Pedro de Macoris. Before the inauguration, Cano was honored at the 4th DREAM Annual Benefit: Suenos 2015 in New York City that took place yesterday, Thursday, 19 November 2015 at the 40/40 Club in Manhattan.

Work on the new center will begin on 24 November 2015 and opens to the community in January 2017. It will provide preschool programs using the Montessori methodology, focused on lifting hundreds of local children out of poverty.

The Dominican Republic Education and Mentoring Project (DREAM), a leader in the field of non-profit education throughout the Dominican Republic, working with more than 6,000 underserved young people in 16 communities, will be running the new center.
