The Santo Domingo Yacht Club (CNSD) is hosting the “Blue Ribbon Regatta” (Regata Cinta Azul) starting at 12-noon on Sunday, 22 November 2015. The late Escipion Oliveira founded the event in the Bay of Andres, Boca Chica in 1973. A total of 14 sailboats will compete in different categories. The regatta is organized by architect Hector Duval, a member of the Santo Domingo Yacht Club, Advelco president Jose Manuel Lamarcha, Andres Santana, officer for the regatta and Maria Isabel Contreras, in charge of events for the yacht club. The event is sponsored by the Dominican Sailing Federation.
