The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has announced it has opened offices in Boston, where Dominican expats can obtain their new ID and voting card. The new offices are at 409 St. Dudley in Roxbury, Massachusetts. This is near Jamaica Plain, Dorchester and Mattapan where thousands of Dominicans live. The move was to bring the ID center closer to Dominicans to help them to obtain the card needed to vote in the 15 May 2016 general election.
