Dominican music icon Juan Luis Guerra, known for his mix of danceable blends of tropical music beats, won album of the year (Todo tiene su hora) and best contemporary tropical album (Por tus besos) during the 16th annual Latin Grammy Awards at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday 19 November 2015.
Guerra said that competition had been strong and that his inspiration had come from his religious devotion.
The album was produced by Juan Luis Guerra and Janina Rosado.
