Le Diner en Blanc will be celebrated in Santo Domingo on 12 December 2015. This is a French tradition that began in Paris in 1988 and has extended internationally.
Pre-registered participants wait patiently to learn of the secret location where they will congregate, dressed in all white, and conducting themselves with the greatest decorum, elegance and etiquette, to meet for a mass “chic picnic” in a public space.
Beyond the spectacle and refined elegance of the dinner itself, guests are brought together from diverse backgrounds by a love of beauty and good taste.
As the tradition calls, there are no disruptions: no car traffic, no pedestrian traffic, except for the occasional amazed and astonished looks from passersby at the scene unfolding before them.
Santo Domingo’s dream team is made up by Joelle Henriette Coulange, Yadira Serulle Tavarez and Rosa Amarella Valerio Rodriguez.
