Eurowings flies from Cologne

La Romana International Airport has a new European connection – Eurowings from Cologne, Germany. The inaugural flight was on Tuesday, 17 November 2015. The flight commanded by Captain Uwe Leyh, 11 crew and 235 passengers was received at 11:30pm with a water salute.

Eurowings is an affiliate of Lufthansa. La Romana Airport is only the second international long-haul destination for the airline. Eurowings will be flying twice a week into the southeastern airport that mainly services Casa de Campo and beach resorts in the Bayahibe and Dominicus area.
