Customs director Fernando Fernandez says that in the first nine months of 2015, used car imports were up 61% in comparison to last year. He said there has been an increase of more than 20,000 units compared to last year. Fernandez pointed out that the growth of the sector has been 12 times that of the economy. Used car importers are asking to import used cars older than five years.
