The National Business Council (CONEP) is asking the government to provide the information that the organization has requested on generation, power distributors, financial statements of the power distributors, CDEEE, EgeHID, ETED, Fomper and other governmental electricity entities. Conep spokesman Rafael Blanco says that the information was requested at the start of the discussions for the signing of the Power Reform Pact, but only partial information has been received.
The request to the government was made through the Social Economic Commission chairman, Monsignor Agripino Nunez.
The Council says that the information requested is in the public domain according to the Free Access to Public Information Law, so they do not understand the reason for the delays.
Government, civil society, business and labor representatives are taking part in the discussions for the signing of the pact.
