911 data for November

The 911 National Emergency and Security System responded to 26,065 emergencies in November. Of these the police went to 47% and the health services to 37%. The rest were dealt with by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMET) and the fire service.

Minister of the Presidency Gustavo Montalvo announced the figures and said that nearly 5,000 people were in a critical health situation and 2,429 were as a result of traffic accidents.

2,404 had breathing difficulties; there were 1,536 cases of domestic violence, 1,359 where the patients were unconscious and 1,309 emergency gynecological and obstetric cases.

The firefighters extinguished 668 fires.
