Almost 400,000 new jobs from 2013-2015

Research by economic intelligence and strategy think-tank Analytica RD has found that 387,128 jobs have been created since 2013. Of this total, 83,349 were government jobs, and 238,442 were in the private sector, and 118,389 are self-employed.

The gender breakdown of the new employees is 36.54% women and 63.46% men. In the last quarter of 2015, the government created 21,107 new jobs.

Analytica presses the point that this is close to the 400,000-job target that President Danilo Medina set in 2012.
