Aeromexico to fly direct from Mexico to SDQ

The director general of Aerodom, operator of Las Americas International Airport, Monika Infante has announced that Aero Mexico would be flying from Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) to Mexico City starting March 2016. She said Aeromexico would make four flights a week on airplanes with capacity for 99 passengers. She said Aeromexico flies to 86 cities around the world and 54 destinations.

She highlighted that the direct flight will benefit Dominicans and foreigners, including business travelers, who will have more connections, now through Mexico to Asia and South America. She said that passengers interested in visiting Japan who do not have US visas would now be able to fly connecting via Mexico on Aeromexico.

Aeromexico adds that the non-stop flight from Mexico City is a great addition for business and tourist travelers needing easier, faster connections to the Dominican capital. The airline posts a US$449 fare for the SDQ-Mexico route.

The airline is part of the SkyTeam Alliance that includes Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia and Delta Air Lines with flights to the Dominican Republic.
