The police in Puerto Plata have arrested a US citizen accused of raping a 17-year old girl.
According to the police, the arrested man is 59-year old Alexander Kristhy who lives in the Coca Cola urbanization in Puerto Plata. It appears that the victim accompanied him to a restaurant and he then took her back to his house where he physically abused her and held her against her will.
He will now appear before the court for the bail or remand terms to be determined.
