PLD members who were supporting Monchy Rodriguez as mayoral candidate in Santiago have asked the party’s National Electoral Committee to annul the results of the primaries that took place on Sunday, 13 December 2015 as they accuse the winner, Abel Martinez of committing fraud.
Rolando Sanchez has accused Abel Martinez’s team of having an alliance with the party’s organizational secretary, Felix Bautista and said that they had changed the list of voters in Santiago.
In its first bulletin, the Electoral Committee has Martinez leading with 63% of the votes against 36% for Rodriguez.
