The Attorney General Office has asked for remand terms against suspended judge Awilda Reyes Beltre and former judge Francisco Arias Valera, who are accused of corruption.
The request was made to National District judge Ramon Horacio Gonzalez Perez.
The court will consider the request behind closed doors today, Wednesday 16 December 2015.
According to reports, a handwriting test carried out by the National Forensic Science Institute (Inacif) has proved that Reyes Betre did indeed sign a receipt for RD$350,000 in return for freeing the councilor for Pedro Brand, Ericson de los Santos Solis.
