Aerodom bonds not affected by a sale of shares

The sale of Aerodom shares by Advent International to Vinci Airports will not affect the US$550 million bond issue carried out by Aerodom, the concessionaire of six airports in the Dominican Republic. Close to US$400 million was placed in the financial markets. Superintendent of Securities, Gabriel Castro said that the sale of shares would not have a negative impact on the country, because the bond issue was carried out in the United States with institutional investors.

In an interview with El Nacional reporters, Castro was asked to respond to comments made by Senator Adriano Sanchez Roa, a member of the Senate Airport Commission, who said that the sale could have an adverse effect on the country because of the placement. This week, Advent International, as the majority shareholder of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom) confirmed that they had signed a contract to sell the shares to Vinci Airports, SAS on 11 December 2015. This new company will now administer government-owned international airports.
