Felix Manuel Rodriguez Grullon, the mayor who state prosecutors have accused of RD$400 million fraud in San Francisco de Macoris was chosen to run for the ruling PLD party in the recent primaries. Rodriguez Grullon benefited from a court decision on 27 March 2015 that dismissed his case. He is a former president of the Dominican Municipal Federation (Fedomu) and belongs to the faction led by former President Leonel Fernandez.
