Dominicans take Christmas holiday shopping seriously, and in Santo Domingo the malls host many Christmas concerts to spread the Christmas spirit. To avoid the crowds, get there early or late in the evening. The malls n 360 Galerias, Agora Mall, Sambil, La Sirena, Plaza Naco will all be open later than usual. The same applies to malls in other parts of the country.
The recommendation is to go with family and friends to see the traditional Christmas play on Christmas Day, 25 December 2015 at the Torre Banco Popular of Av. John F. Kennedy and Av. Maximo Gomez at 6:30pm, or the Santo Domingo Cathedral Christmas concert n it is advisable to get there at 6:30pm to queue for the very popular concert that starts promptly at 8pm, since it is televised.
