The National Social Security Council (CNSS) has announced it is extending the coverage of medical care for traffic accidents from 10 January 2016 to 8 July 2016. The public and private health providers (ARSs) and the public hospital system (PSS) need to provide healthcare to victims of traffic accidents.
Nevertheless, the ARSs sent a letter to the CNSS saying they did not accept the RD$9 per capita fee and would not honor the coverage of traffic accidents as established by the new CNSS resolution.
