Economic think tank Analytica RD reports that payments via mobile phones are up 38.64% this year. Bank transfers via mobile are also up 19.9% in 2015 compared to 2014. In 2015, 97,000 transactions of payments via mobile were registered, and 108,000 fund transfers.
Platforms used in the DR include Tpago, Orange M-Pesos using the platform of GCS Systems.
