More courses for INFOTEP

The National Professional Training Institute (INFOTEP) has announced that it has increased the number of courses it is offering from 591 to 735. The courses are divided into the industrial sector with 354 courses, 314 in the business and service sector and 67 in agriculture.

159 courses are focused on training vulnerable people from the age of 13, which includes young people at high risk, victims of exploitation, former prisoners and with special needs.

INFOTEP director general Rafael Ovalles says that these courses will enable the students to enter the job market and improve their own standard of living and that of their families.

The courses on offer include sewage treatment, jewelry, solar power, librarianship, sign language, security technology, shoe making, body massage, furniture making, environmental management, packaging, injection molding, coaching, food processing, civil engineering, maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment, ecotourism, development of renewable energy, computer and mobile programming, and satellite and cable television systems.
