Musician and composer Pachy Carrasco passed away following a stroke shortly before 11am yesterday morning, Tuesday 5 January 2016.
His death was confirmed by the Advanced Medicine and Telemedicine Diagnostic Center (Cedimat) where he had been hospitalized since 10pm on Sunday, 3 January.
He was connected to a ventilator and on the following day his family met with the doctors to decide what to do.
Blas De Jesus Carrasco was born on 11 May 1968 and was the grandson of musician Blas Carrasco and the nephew of singer Angela Carrasco. He wrote the music for films including Sanky Panky and worked with artists such as Shakira, Jon Secada, Alejandro Fernandez, Aventura, Milly Quezada, Elvis Martinez, Eddy Herrera, Tono Rosario, Wasson Brazoban, Angela Carrasco and the French singer Jeannette.
He was married to actress Liz Soto.
