The Dominican Navy has announced that in a joint operation with the United States Coastguard they have intercepted a boat heading to Puerto Rico on an illegal journey with 20 people on board, seven Haitians and 13 Dominicans.
The boat was stopped in the Mona Passage and the would-be migrants were taken to naval Intelligence in the hope they would reveal who had organized the trip.
