The National Emergency Commission (CNE) is preparing a major report on the results of a seismic risk study carried out in Greater Santo Domingo. According to CNE head Major General Rafael de Luna Pichirilo, the Technical Committee conducted a study of the seismic threats and physical vulnerability of Greater Santo Domingo, covering 23 government buildings. The two-year study, which also includes parts of the province of San Cristobal, will be presented in May.
