President Danilo Medina visited Piedra Blanca on the Duarte Highway yesterday, Sunday 17 January 2016 for the inauguration of a two-lane overpass to ease traffic flow in the area. The four-lane, 670-meter overpass is part of the Project for the Rehabilitation and Improvement of the Piedra Blanca-Juan Adrian-Rancho Arriba-Cruce de Ocoa road works carried out by the Ministry of Public Works.
Speaking at the ceremony, Public Works Minister Gonzalo Castillo said that the road improvements would soon be extended to Juan Adrian, Rancho Arriba, Nizao, Sabana Larga, Ocoa and the Cibao region.
