Two dozen flights to the United States were cancelled over the weekend of 23-24 January due to the major snowstorm that mainly affected the east of the country.
Flights were cancelled from all of the Dominican airports by all of the airlines including United, American Airlines, Delta and Jet Blue.
By Monday morning, 25 January 2016, travel began to return to normal but some flights to and from Newark were still experiencing delays.
Travelers planning to fly to the United States are advised to check with the airline for updates on the latest situation.
