The Houston Astros are in mourning after their 20-year old pitching prospect Jose Rosario was killed in a motorcycle accident in his native Dominican Republic on Sunday night, 24 January 2016.
Rosario was signed as an 18-year old minor league free agent in 2013. He pitched each of the last two seasons in the Astros minor league system.
