Delegation from Panama visits disabled children centers

An official delegation from the Republic of Panama is in the country to learn more about the social and education inclusion processes being implemented by the Office of the First Lady Candida Montilla.

The commission is made up of Ana Maria de Leon, project director from the office of the First Lady of Panama and Maruja Villalobos, director of the Panamanian Institute of Special Needs.

The visits began yesterday, Tuesday 26 January 2016 at the head office of the first of five Integrated Care Centers for Disabled Children (CAID) established by the First Lady, where the visitors were received by Martha Rodriguez de Baez, technical coordinator of the First Lady’s Office, Moises Taveras, director of CAID-Santo Domingo, and Rosangela Mendoza and Mayra Ramos.

Following the visit, the guests said that they now understood the enthusiasm for CAID that was shown by both the President and the First Lady of Panama and said it was one of the best centers they had visited throughout the world in terms of quality.
