Vice President Margarita Cedeno, Patriotic Commemorations Commission president Juan Daniel Balcacer and the provincial governor of San Francisco de Macoris Miledys Nunez led an official ceremony yesterday, Tuesday 26 January 2016, marking the 203rd anniversary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte, founding father of the nation.
The events began with a Te Deum in the Santa Ana Cathedral and were followed by a military parade along the Av. 27 de Febrero in the northeastern city of San Francisco de Macoris.
