President Medina travels to Ecuador

President Danilo Medina left the country yesterday, Tuesday 26 January 2016, to go to Quito, Ecuador to attend the IV Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) that starts today.

Medina left on a private plane in the afternoon from the San Isidro Air Force base accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Relations Andres Navarro, Administrative Minister of the Presidency Jose Ramon Peralta, his personal assistant Carlos Pared Parez and head of Security Corps, Major General Adan Caceres Silvestre.

During the Summit, President Medina will take over the pro tempore presidency for CELAC from his Ecuadorian counterpart, Rafael Correa
