Purchase high quality, locally made arts and crafts at this year’s National Arts & Crafts Fair (Fenart), which will be held at the grounds of the Fortaleza Ozama in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo from 11-14 February 2016. The fair is usually held in December, but was cancelled when the opening coincided with the murder of popular Santo Domingo East mayor Juan de los Santos.
The fair, which is open from 9am to 10pm, will feature more than 200 craft producers from all around the country. Many of the artisans receive support from the Vice President’s Office Prosoli program.
