All of the Shell gas stations in the Dominican Republic will be rebranded as Total in February 2016. The French oil company has purchased the gas stations part of the V Energy Dominicana under the Vicini Group for an undisclosed sum, as reported in Diario Libre. The newspaper reports that the French group will now manage 70% of the shares of the network that manages 130 Shell-branded gas stations nationwide. The cost of the rebranding operation is estimated at US$50 million.
