Chamber of Accounts (CCRD) president Licelott Marte said yesterday, Thursday 28 January 2016 that despite the fact that only six months are left before the deadline for submitting personal financial statements, more than 1,200 government officials have not yet completed the process, out of a total of around 5,000.
The declarations are obligatory, as established in Law 311-14. Marte says she is waiting for the Executive Branch to send a ruling that would enable the Chamber to retain wages until the obligation is met.
