United States Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and President Danilo Medina held a meeting at the Presidential Palace yesterday, Monday 8 February 2016.
Mabus was accompanied by US Navy Deputy Chief of Staff Meredith Berger and Anne Gebhards, director of the Navy’s International Affairs Department, along with United States Ambassador James Brewster, who told the press it was a courtesy visit.
