Migration director general Major General Ruben Dario Paulino Sem has revealed that more than 20,000 foreigners who were living in the country illegally have been repatriated since deportations began in August 2015.
He said that so far this year more than 5,000 people of various nationalities have already been deported, mostly Haitians.
