The Vuelta Independencia Nacional, the Caribbean’s leading cycling competition, takes off this Saturday, 27 February from the Mirador del Sur Park in Santo Domingo and continues through Saturday 5 March 2016. Now in its 37th year, there are eight stages for an overall route of 1,050 kilometers that will take the competitors all around the country. This year the route will pass by the cities of Miches, El Seibo, Barahona and Samana.
