Minister of Foreign Relations Andres Navarro signed an agreement yesterday, Sunday 14 February 2016 under which the US will provide an additional US$13 million in funding to strengthen local institutions that work on citizen safety, anti-asset laundering units, and the application of laws for combating drug trafficking and administrative corruption. The funds will be assigned to institutional strengthening programs and training for prosecutors, training and provision of communication equipment to the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD), judiciary and training for the Police.
