President Danilo Medina was in Miches, in El Seibo province, on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic yesterday, Thursday 18 February 2016, for the symbolic start of construction of the Four Seasons Tropicalia. The luxury hotel is part of a real estate and tourism complex promoted by the Grupo Cisneros from Venezuela. To mark the start, a mahogany tree, the Dominican Republic’s national tree, was planted.
Speaking at the event, Adriana Cisneros representing the Grupo Cisneros said that the construction of the luxury sustainable hotel was part of a master plan for a low-density real estate and low environmental impact development by the Cisneros Real Estate division.
