The Vicini Group has announced that from now on it will be doing business under the new Inicia brand name.
Executive president Felipe Vicini said that the group’s initiatives would now be known as Inicia, an inversion of the Vicini last name. Speaking for the group, Amelia Vicini says that Inicia seeks to attract other investors to implement strategic projects. She explained the group is working with the public and private sectors to promote structural reforms to improve Dominican social and economic indicators. Both Vicini siblings said that the family is committed to the long-term development of the Dominican Republic and the region.
The Funds coordinated by the group include Energy and Industry, Putney Capital Management; financial services, Agrega Partners, Assets and Real Estate, Terra RD Partners, Asset Recovery, DAF Management, Inicia Educacion, Inicia Educacion Managers, and Food and beverages under IBS Gestion de Inversion.
In the area of education, Amelia Vicini highlighted that the Inicia Educacion initiative seeks to strengthen Dominican schooling and contribute to quality education. Amelia Vicini, one of the promoters of the initiative, said they would begin a round of visits to potential investors to present the model for the fund. “We believe in the social returns of education because we know that a better-educated country can improve its indicators of equality, institutions, stability and socioeconomic development,” she said, during the announcement yesterday, Thursday 18 February 2016.
