Police get health insurance coverage

The Labor Risks Administration (ARL) preventive health director, Ivonne Soto says that 100% of formal workers affiliated to the Social Security system have protection if they suffer any accident at work or a work-related illness. She said the ARLs have paid out up to RD$12 million to one single person.

She said that as of today, Tuesday, 1 March 2016 the system would also start coverage for more than 37,000 police officers under the Dominican social security system.
