A video sent to Diario Libre showing a motorcade of PLD campaigners on Duarte Highway on Sunday, 6 March 2016 has received widespread exposure on social media. The video shows the campaigning vehicles being allowed to pass through the Duarte Highway toll while heading from Santo Domingo to Santiago, without having to queue up to pay the RD$30 toll.
President Danilo Medina was campaigning in the provinces of Monsenor Nouel and La Vega on the weekend of 5-6 March 2016. Satirical commentary by the video makers can be heard on the video.
