Edmond Elias, the president of EE Empresas, a leading nightclub and casino company, passed away yesterday, Thursday 10 March 2016 at the age of 84. He was also known as the owner of the long-established Maunaloa Night Club, and for the operation of bars, discos, gambling casinos, sports betting businesses and real estate promotion. He was the president of the Dominican Casinos Association for many years, and a founding member of the Coliseo Gallistico de Santo Domingo, as one of the country’s leading cockfighting promoters.
