One of the seven people who suffered burns in the 3 March 2016 tanker explosion at the Mariot Gas propane gas station in Alma Rosa II in Santo Domingo East died of his injuries on Monday, 14 March 2016. 51-year old Felipe Almonte, who was in charge of the propane gas station died at the burn unit of the Ney Arias Lora Hospital.
