Gallup-Hoy poll: Crime is main concern voters

Crime is the leading problem that citizens eligible to vote would like the government to tackle. According to the most recent Gallup-Hoy poll, 75% of those consulted named citizen safety as the leading concern. 49% said it was the high cost of living and 45% the lack of jobs. The same poll in January 2016, showed that 56% of citizens reported citizen safety as the leading problem, followed by 54% the high cost of living and 41% unemployment.

The poll was held from 3-8 March 2016, with 1,200 people polled nationwide.
