National District voting board president Santiago Sosa says that 733,000 people have registered to vote in the National District. He added that the new electronic system is set up for the vote count to be completed by midnight. He said that the system operators will be able to go home by 8pm and that as the vote will be electronic, there will be no need to transport the ballot boxes.
The recent March Gallup-Hoy poll 63% of respondents awarded a positive rating to the Central Electoral Board’s election organization work.
