Popular singer Antonio Peter de la Rosa (Omega) has been sent to La Victoria prison by a National District judge to complete three months preventive custody on charges of domestic violence and sexual and psychological abuse against his former partner, 20-year old Sahira Valerio.
The judge said that the decision was taken as he had been accused of domestic violence on several occasions, adding that as a public figure he should give a better example to society.
He was originally sent to San Pedro de Macoris jail before being transferred to La Victoria due to lack of space.
