Leading high-end British food retailer Marks & Spencer has announced the launch of the biggest avocado in the country’s supermarkets.
The large fruit is five times the size of an average avocado and is known as “Carla” and is bright green in color and round in shape
Avocados are packed with essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E, vitamin K, folate and antioxidants. They also contain more potassium per gram than bananas.
The fruit, which comes from the Dominican Republic, launches in M&S stores this week for two weeks only at a cost of ?2.50 each (RD$160).
