Ministry of Foreign Relations spokesman Miguel Medina has announced that Ambassador Homero Luis Hernandez Sanchez, who was working as the Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic at the United Nations (UN) in Geneva passed away on Friday, 8 April 2016. Medina said that his passing was a great loss and praised the work he had carried out as a diplomat with great experience and dedication.
His remains will be brought to Santo Domingo during this week and on arrival he will receive the appropriate funeral honors, according to the spokesman.
